About Sirukurinjan (Cowplant):-

Gymnema Sylvestre is an herb native to the tropical forests of southern and central India and Sri Lanka. Gymnema Sylvestre is an herb found in the tropical forests of India and Asia. Gymnema has historic use as a therapy for diabetes and arthritis and has also earned significant recent interest as a multi-supportive therapy for weight management. Evidence suggests Gymnema can reduce cravings for sweets, sugar absorption during digestion, and promote normal blood sugar levels.The Gymnema plant contains a number of compounds, such as acidic glycosides and anthraquinones. The primary bioactive constituent of Gymnema, known as gymnemic acid, is found in the leaves and roots. Gymnemic acids are sweetness inhibitors. Simply put, chewing Gymnema leaves will reduce the taste of sugar, or “sweetness,” in the mouth

How to Consume Sirukurinjan (Cowplant) Internally:-

1. Morning - Mix 5 gms of powder in 100 ml water, Boil the content for a few minutes. Once the water gets warm, filter the content and drink it before food. Repeat the same for Evening Dosage after dinner.
2. Dried leaf powder of this plant can be given in the dose of 2 to 4 grams daily 2 to 3 times a day for 5 to 6 months to treat Diabetes Mellitus. It is said that long administration of this medicine can even eliminate Sugar present in Urine. 5. Leaf powder can be dusted or applied as a paste on the wounds due to snake bites. Infusion of dried leaves should be given internally.
6. Seed powder helps to cure Cough, Rhinitis, and Asthma.
