Description

Dried ginger or Chukku is one of the spices that have a unique taste and effective medicinal properties to cure many diseases. It is also used to make dishes, cakes, and added in many foods. Dried ginger is made by first washing and soaking overnight and then drying the fresh ginger out in the sun. Calcium carbonate is added to bleach the dried ginger sometimes to gives it a whitish covering. We mostly used the powdered form of Dried ginger which is easy to store having a long life of more than six months. 

Health Benefits of Chukku Podi

Obesity – Mix 50 gm of ginger powder with amla powder. Mix it with water and drink morning and evening to avoid obesity.

Headache – A paste of dried ginger can be used o cure headaches when it applied to the forehead. Dried ginger tea makes you relieved from muscle pains that are fibromyalgia symptoms, headache, vomiting.
