About Nilavembu (Kalmegh/King Of Bitters):-
Nilavembu stem is slender, dark green, squared in cross-section with longitudinal furrows and wings along the angles. The hairless blades of the lance-shaped, 8 cm by 2.5 cm long leaves measure up to 8 centimetres. Small flowers appear in racemes that spread out. The fruit is an oval capsule that measures around 2 cm in length and about a few millimeters wide. The fruit contains many seeds that are yellow-brown.
